Click the photo to see a detail of the trails of the elusive wild haggis. These trails can be seen all over the Highlands of Scotland. Haggis are small sheep-like creatures whose legs are shorter on one side than another. They are captured by frightening them suddenly, causing them to fall and roll down the hill to the hunters, due to their uneven legs. This unevenness is also the reason why the trails spiral round and round the hills. Note: This was told to me with the utmost solemnity by genuine Highlanders <Big Grin>. ID#9-24-00-D |
