Plockton in the North West Highlands of ScotlandPhoto Gallery Set 10 |
![]() Three herons have a bit of a stooshie. It seemed a bit late in the year to be a mating issue (though what with clematis and foxglove in bloom, who knows?) -- perhaps it was simply territorial. Due to the still unspeakable loss of my good camera with the zoom, this was the best I could do, but it was extremely interesting to watch. |
![]() I found this beautiful flower near Lochalsh Learning Centre and Alice Byrne's Minvaugh Cottage. It's no doubt a weed, but I thought it was very striking. |
![]() A very colourful caterpillar |
![]() Struggling up and down the winding one-lane roads to find where Isobel professed her love turned out to be quite hair raising and exhausting, so we took a welcome break. Lo! What does Donna find but a snake in Eden. Somehow I never thought of Scotland as having snakes, but there he was. Quite unhappy at being discovered, too. |
![]() Having discussed haggis trails in the Faerie Glen photo album, it would be remiss to keep secret that we found haggis spoor all throughout the region. |
