Couture Corner

Nancy Rowell is my sewing teacher. When I wandered into her kids' class and asked forlornly, "Can grownups sew?" she kindly took me in, and we've become fast friends. She's an excellent teacher -- thanks to her, I now make beautiful things. I've come to love our quiet, creative times, listening to her warm, Texas voice, and sometimes catching a glimpse of the baby deer from the sewing cottage window. Here's a photo of Nancy teaching one of her children's classes, and some of the work I've done thanks to her remarkable patience & help.
