I wonder if these are the same turtles I knew as a child? On the left, a contented turtle. On the right, the most wild behaviour I experienced in romantic Waikiki.

These are nene geese, so rare now that many of us have only seen them in the zoo. Their disposition is quite equivalent to that of their Canadian relatives. On the left are low-hanging hau leaves. |

This funny-face vulture was new to me, but had me completely charmed. Maybe because I am so funny-looking now, but I found him so endearing. |
